HOW IT WORKS
In this 40-Day Daniel-style fast (see Daniel 10:2-3), you and your family can choose to fast from one or more of these four categories…
No sweets 🍭
No meats 🍔
No alcohol 🍷
No entertainment digital media📱
Read Along with Us 📖
But ask the Lord and choose to fast from whatever He leads you to fast from.
And feel free to make modifications (like no meats except for fish).
Don’t get religious about it, but the challenge is to choose something that “stings” when you think about fasting from it… make sure to call yourself higher!

FASTING IS FOR
THE WHOLE FAMILY!
Over the years, we’ve seen God do incredible stuff in the hearts of our teens and keiki. So include them in this fast! For many of us, we choose at least two of the four options:
No sweets 🍭 … and no entertainment digital media📱
Yes, that means no sodas, candy, desserts, or sugary snacks (how is sugar in EVERYTHING?). PLUS… no Youtube, video games, watching movies or TV, and no social media. This means you too, Mom and Dad ;).
As a family, we just make that the default for everyone. Sound scary? It might be at first. But totally worth it. That’s why we do it ALL TOGETHER… so your teens and keiki can experience this with their friends ;).

SUPPLEMENTS: For preparation and during the 21-Day fast. These are general recommendations. Always check with your physician for personalized serving sizes.
MAGNESIUM - 310mg for women, 400mg for men, and 240mg for children 8yrs-18yrs
ZINC - 8mg for women, 11mg for men, 7mg for kids
VITAMIN C - 75mg for woman, 90mg for men, 45mg for kids
VITAMIN D - 600 IU for men, women, and kids
VITAMIN B Complex (that includes B6 and B12) - 2.4 micrograms for men and women, 12mg for kids
* NOTE: If possible, always use supplements in their most natural form (avoiding synthetic versions)
FOODS to focus on while fasting/detox: Garlic, Onions, Broccoli, Asparagus, Avocado, Eggs, Spinach, Kale, Nuts (Walnuts, Brazilian, Macadamia, Almonds, etc), MCT oil. Chamomile Tea
WATER: Remember to increase your water intake! Add a squeeze of lemon or lime, or a little bit of Apple Cider Vinegar ;). If cravings really kick in, drink WATER and eat WATERMELON.
