Here’s What a Thursday Looks Like
Two life stages. The same Jesus.
We worship together on purpose. There is something a 12-year-old learns by watching a 17-year-old lift their hands that no lesson could teach them — and something a 17-year-old learns by modeling the example.
We split on purpose, too. A 6th grader and a senior are not carrying the same questions, and they shouldn't get the same answers. When we split, your student is in a room built for where they actually are.
Schedule
6:30pm — Doors open. Check-in, dinner, hangout time.
7:00pm — Everyone together.
Welcome, a game, worship — Middle School (MS) and High School (HS) in one room.
7:30pm — We split. MS and HS each go to their own room for teaching, small groups, and ministry time.
8:30 — We wrap and release students from their rooms.
What You Need to Know as a Parent
At Collide, we're committed to creating a space where students feel known, loved, and discipled. But we don't think two hours on a Thursday makes a disciple. You do. Our job is to surround what's already happening in your home — not replace it.
Here’s what you can expect:

Every volunteer is background-checked, trained, and supervised. We watch our student-to-leader ratios and we have emergency protocols in place.

our student is placed in a small group with consistent leaders — not a rotating cast of adults. Groups are divided by gender, and by grade where we're able.

Before anything else, we want students to see what it looks like to stop in the middle of a loud week and give attention to the God who's already with them.

We teach the Bible, and we teach students how to actually use it beyond Thursdays.

We don't text often — and that's on purpose. You'll hear from us when it matters: what we're teaching this season, camp and trip registration, schedule changes, and the moments worth telling you about.
Safety & Release
Arrival. Students check themselves in at the door. Drop them at the curb or walk up the stairs with them — whatever your family is comfortable with. First night, we'd love to meet you.
During the night. Collide is a student space, so parents don't stay for the gathering. That's not to keep you out — it's so your student has a room where they can be honest. There are other doors in, and we'd love you to use them: come serve on a Thursday, come to our parent nights, or email Pastor Brett anytime to set up a visit.
Security. A Special Duty Officer is on premises throughout the evening and stationed downstairs by CPK after Collide on Thursday nights.
Release. We release students together at 8:30pm. If your student needs to leave early, we ask for verbal confirmation from a parent, guardian, or the emergency contact on file first. A release covers only that student — if friends are leaving too, each one needs their own.
Our team. Every adult who serves at Collide is background-checked and trained before they're ever in a room with your student.

Students in 6th through 12th grade. Middle School (6–8) and High School (9–12) worship together and then split into their own rooms for teaching and small groups.
As of August 2026 we welcome students beginning in 6th grade — if your student just finished 5th, they don't have to wait.

At 7:00pm everyone comes together for welcome, a game, and worship.
At 7:30 Middle School and High School split into their own rooms for teaching, small groups, and ministry time.
We wrap at 8:30pm.

Thursday nights are free, and dinner is provided while supplies last. Camps, trips, and special events have their own costs, and we'll always tell you well in advance.

Walk-ins are always welcome, but every student needs two quick things on file: the New Student Form (tells us who they are, who you are, and any allergies) and the Waiver Form.

We don't collect phones at the door or hand out a list of rules. What we're building instead is a culture of honor — we ask students to be present with the people in front of them, especially during worship, teaching, and small group, and our leaders set that tone by living it first.

By gender, and by grade wherever we're able. Each group has a consistent leader who stays with them, so your student is building a real relationship rather than meeting a new adult every week.

Collide is a student space, so parents don't stay during the gathering — students are more honest in a room that's theirs. But we're not trying to keep you at arm's length.

This is the question we hear most, and it's the one we've built for. Tell your student to find a leader at the door — someone will walk them in, sit with them, and make sure they're not standing by themselves. Then they're placed in a small group with the same leader and the same students week after week. Most students tell us the first Thursday was the hard one.

Dinner changes week to week and we can't guarantee an allergy-safe meal. If your student has a serious allergy, we'd recommend they bring their own dinner — and please let us know so our team is aware.

We teach biblical messages centered on Jesus, discipleship, identity, and living out faith in real life.

No. We run summer camps, mission trips, and events through the year.
We also have a campus ministry presence through Youth for Christ at the following schools:

So for some students, a familiar face shows up at school too. Faith that only exists in one place tends to stay in that one place. We'd rather it follow them.
