An international bestselling author, renowned speaker, and global expert in emotional literacy, Dr. Karla brings over 30 years of multidisciplinary expertise in neuropsychology, cognitive science, and nutritional psychology to transform how children and families thrive.
Dr. Karla is an educational and nutritional psychologist with almost 30 years of experience in the education field. Aside from attending major universities such as Harvard, she has worked closely with hundreds of children and families across the United States and Latin America. Her goal is to empower each individual she works with to have the opportunity to reach their full, God-given potential.
Dr. Karla is a wife and mom of three girls (15, 14, and 8).

Dean Kaneshiro, C4 Family Director
Dean is a former church planter and youth pastor, a certified Family Connections instructor with the Medical Institute for Sexual Health, and has been overseeing C4’s family ministry (Kids, Youth, Young Adults, Marriage, Parenting) since 2021. The vision for the Family Ministry is to equip parents to grow in faith & confidence to disciple their kids and teens.
Dean has been married to his wife, Holly, for over 27 years and has seven children (ages 24, 22, 19, 19, 16, and two adopted keiki ages 9 and 7), including a daughter-in-law who recently joined the ‘ohana!
